January '.2, 1979 Note to Thomas F. Engelhardt The Hearing Division staff has considered the survey of staff uses of WASH-1400 and the recommendations contained in SECY-78-637.
With respect to uses, this office has reviewed its files and finds no relevant use of WASH-1400.
(See my notes dated November 17, 1978 to Kelley and January 12, 1979 to Engelhardt). The apparent uses by NRR which we identified are covered by the extensive list provided in SECY-78-637.
With respect to recommendations, we have no objection to those contained in the report. The Hearing Division is, of course, cog-nizant of the discussions which the Comission has had with NRR and RES in the public meetings which have been held on this subject and of the modifications of the policy statements that are under considera-tion. We have no coment on these items. (/
