Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In Mr. Murphy's inspection reports 50-491/79-03, 50-492/79-03 and 50-493/79-03, he identified a deficiency entitled " Infraction 491/79-03-04, Concrete Cylinder Moist Curing Roon Temperature Control" and requested a report be filed within twenty (20) days of our receipt of the subject reports.

Duke Power Company's response is as follov.s:

1) All temperature and relative humidity readings tnat did not meet the specification have been non-conforned, evaluated, and deternined acceptable.

2)

All affected personnel have been instructed that daily temperature and relative humidity measurenents must be perfomed. In order to maintain these daily measurements on weekends and holidays, the security force has been trained to make these measurements.

3) Daily temperature and relative hunidity readings have been maintained since February 20, 1979.

Very truly yours, I //
