APPEND 1X A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Company License Nos. CPPR-108 Vogtle, Units 1 and 2 CPPR-109 Based on the NRC inspection April 25-27, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in corre-spondence to you dated December 31, 1974.

As required by Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50, and as implemented by the Georgia Power Company (GPC) PSAR Section 17.1.5, " Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procc-dures, or drawings and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings."
Procedure ED 'I-06 a monthly requiremeni for insulation resistance checks on specifies safety related motors and generators. Specification X3AR01, Section E2 specifies a weekly shaf t rotation for safety related motors above 50 horsepower.
Contrary to the above; insulation resistance checks were not made on two rod diive motor generator sets during the month of March 1979.
Shaft rotation of two containment spray pump motors and two safety injection pump motors was not conducted at weekly intervals during March,1979.
