OF B&W PLANT INSPECTIONS 4/16/79 Region I:
TMI-l - Shutdown Region II:
Crystal River -
Operating at 74% power with one RCS pump shut down to prevent seal degradation.
Inspections continuing on control room operations, review of' administrative controls to assure proper return to service following maintenance activities, and revpjk of emergency procedure for loss of coolant / pressure.
All available shift personnel have been briefed by NRC.
Oconee -
Units 1 and 3 operating at 100% power; Unit 2 operating at 99% power.
Inspections continuing on control room oper: tions, plant tour in vital areas including high pressure injection (HPI),
Icw pressure injection (LPI), and feedt 'ter systems, confirmation that Engineered Safety Fe ;ure (ESF) system valve lineups are in proper order.
Region III:
Davis-Besse -
Shutdown for maintenance.
Startup scheduled for April 22, 1979.
Inspections continuing of plant activities.
Review of valve lineups continuing.
Region IV:
Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 -
Shutdown for refueling.
Plant heatup scheduled for April 30; reactor startup on May 5; power ascension on May 8, 1979.
NRC briefings o'f plant personnel are complete.
Inspection continuing on review of Engineered Safety Features systems.
