BRc FZ Morning Report 4/25/79 1.
At 1455 yesterday an operator-initiated tu-bine trip occurred because of water impingement in the turbine and steam lines.
The event occurred Current during apprcved testing of the auxiliary feedwater system.
steam flee is through the turbine bypass valves to the condenser.
Primary coolant cold leg tempergtures increased over the subsequent 16 hr. period from 175 F to 222 F and the highest thermocouple reading increased from 270'i to 312 F.
A schedule for rolling the turbine and blewing water out of steam lines is not expected until the morning management meeting.
2.
All charcoal filters were replaced and the
'*B" train in the auxiliary building was placed in service at 0530 this morning.
3.
A primary coolant sample is scheduled to be drawn at approximately 0730.
4.
Following a briefing of the Governor's of fice yesterday, a press conference was held to outline the anticipated schedule for achieving long term cooling status and plant modifications for TMI 2.
5.
