1.0 Purpose

To provide a procedure for opezator action should the Turbine Btilding Closed Cboling Water Systs (TBCCWS) fail due to pump failure or pipe break.

2.0 Indications to the Operator:

2.1 Failure of 7ECCWS may be indicated by one or nore of the following ala-r Indications:

2.1.1 Panel 7F - Annunciator "Q".

2.1.1.1 GBCC Water Pump 1-1 Trip 2.1.1.2 180C Water Pump 1-2 Trip 2.1.1.3 2BCC Water Pump 1-3 Trip 2.1.1.4 TBCC Water Disch. Im Press.

2.1.1.5 TBOC Water Pump Auto Start C

2.2 Other abrms a-f ated with equipuent cooled by 1BCCW may be receivr1.

3.0 Autcuatic Actions:

3.1.The standby TBCCW purp will start upcn a Im discharge har%r pressure.

4.0 Irrmvlinte Ooerator 7cticn:

4.1 If cne TBCCW purrp fatis, verify that the starr!by 1BTW purrp starts.

4.2 If tm TJCCN purrps fail, at.br to mamally restart tse pumps.

4.2.1 If only one TBCCW purrp is available and TBOCN -- W ature is rising, reduce the reacter recirculation fim to minimum using the recircu-lation fim master controller.

Note: (1) If'a rMvwl TBZW flow is awrf anced through the stator cooling heat exchangers, the tine differential betwen the reduced ficw and I

receipt of the stator cooling high beature alarm is dependent cn generator 1rvv1 and 'mrTW heat exchanger capacity.

6/13/79 (2) If stator cooling high te;.-ture is alarmed, the generator runback feature will ram generator load to about 20% of rated autmatically within 3 minutes and the bypass valves will open autmatically.

(3) Nhen turbine load is rdM to a point below the Icw load trip, reset the 25% load trip (green button) ha_ hind Panel 13R.

4.2.2 Dispatch an operator to itdjust the TK:CN supply to the etrhim lube oil coolers to reduce the turbine hanring oil *Prature.

4.2.3 If the H'rhim Wring high te hature alam is initiated, chedt the turbine haaring thm

> -ple recorder on Panel llR. If errhine bearing tercerature is > 185'F, raAm htrhine load manually to decrease bearing tu.gatures.

f 4.3 If all TBOCN pu=ps fail or a major pipe break occurs and no TBOCW pumps can be restarted and the break cannot be isolated:

4-4.3.2 Trip all recirculation pumps. Insure the suction and dieharge valves remain open until the ptrap start rw2are is impisnented.

4.3.3 Initiate transfer of air -gessor cooling to the Fire Water Systs. Isolate the 'lBCCW supply and return to the air meessors.

4.4 If a small 'IBCCW systan pipe break occurs such that the level in the TB00f surge tank can be maintained, locate and isolate the leak.

5.0 Subsmuent operator Acticn:

5.2 In the event only one TIC 07 purp is in service, adjust TBOCW flew to prevmt Pump rtrait.

5.3 If reactor scram was required, refe'r to energency g.
