21 JUN 1979 APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Yankee Atomic Electric Company Docket No. 50-29 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on May 1-4, and 8-11, 1979, it appears that one of your activities was not conducted in full compliance with the conditions of your NRC Facility License No.
DPR-3, as indicated below.
This item is an infraction.
Technical Specification 4.7.1.2.a.4, requires that the emergency boiler feedwater system shall be demonstrated operable at least once per 15 days by cycling each testable manual valve in the flow path through at least one complete cycle of full travel.
Contrary to the above, a review of surveillance records, and discussions with personnel show that DW-V-608, a testable aanual valve in the emergency boiler feedwater system flow path, is not being cycled each 15 days as required.
