By email to Hearingdocket@nrc.gov March 1, 2019 Re: Docket ID NRC-2018-0279 To Whom It May Concern:

Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) is pleased to provide the following comments to the above docket.

Our mission is to promote the prosperity of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by improving the economic climate, proactively advocating fair and equitable public policy, and providing relevant, reliable information and excellent services on behalf of thousands of members throughout the state.

The proposed sale of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station to Holtec can bring a faster solution to the economic stagnation that threatens Plymouth as this reliable economic resource closes. Under Holtecs plan, the Pilgrim site will be safely and swiftly decommissioned and released for redevelopment by the end of 2027 instead of remaining mothballed in SAFSTOR until 2080 under Entergys plan. Further, under Holtecs plan many current employees will be retained and other opportunities for new employment will continue vs. a sharp drop and then no employment for decades under Entergys plan. The sale of Pilgrim to Holtec is a positive economic solution and a win-win for Plymouth residents and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I hope you will approve Docket ID NRC-2018-0279.
