TERMINATION OF SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIALS LICENSE NUMBER 2015 FOR THE AREVA NUCLEAR MATERIALS, LLC, EAGLE ROCK ENRICHMENT FACILITY (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER:

Dear Mr. Shakir:
By letter dated May 14, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession Number ML18151A476), you requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) terminate Special Nuclear Materials License Number 2015 (SNM-2015) for the AREVA Nuclear Materials, LLC (ANM), Eagle Rock Enrichment Facility (EREF). The NRC staff has reviewed your request and concluded that termination of SNM-2015 should be approved. Therefore, SNM-2015 is hereby terminated, as requested.
Amendment 5 to SNM-2015, terminating the license, is provided in Enclosure 1 to this letter.
The NRC staff report documenting its review for this licensing action is provided in Enclosure 2 to this letter.
The non-possessing facility security clearance, originally issued to AREVA Enrichment Services, LLC (AES) for the EREF pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 95, and later transferred from AES to ANM via NRC-approved transfer of control of SNM-2015 (see Order Number EA-16-201, dated September 30, 2016 - ADAMS Accession Number ML16264A317), is also being terminated. The NRC Office of Administration (ADM) is also terminating your personnel security clearance associated with the EREF. Following your receipt of the NRCs termination of SNM-2015, ADM staff will contact you to confirm termination of your clearance.
The NRC staff also evaluated your August 15, 2018, submittal (ADAMS Accession Number ML18227A161), requesting an amendment to the SNM-2015 materials license to correct ANMs corporate address. Your submittal was provided at the NRC staff request, following identification of a discrepancy between ANMs current corporate address and the address in the SNM-2015 license during the review of your license termination request. The NRC staff completed its review of your August 15, 2018, submittal and, as a result, Condition 2 of SNM-2015 was revised to reflect ANMs new corporate address.
This action closes efforts under Enterprise Project Identification Number L-2018-LIT-0003.
