Thank you for your letters of April 10, and 20, 1981, informing us of steps you
have taken to correct the violations concerning activities under NRC Operating
License Nos. DPR-32 and DPR-37 brought to your attention in our letter of
March 19, 1981.
We will examine your corr~ctive actions and plans during
subsequent inspections.
With regard to item A in your response dated April 10, you stated that you
believe the assigned severity level was too high.
We have evaluated your
response and see no additional information which changes our position.
The
severity level was selected based upon exceeding a Limiting Condition for
Operation due to a personnel error and the circumstances associated with valve
identification.
We consider this serious.
Also in regard to the last paragraph in your supplemental response dated April 20,
it is our understanding that corrective _a~tion will be implemented to address the
50 shielding requests over the next few months.
We appreciate your cooperation with us.
