Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
In reference to your letter of September 6, 1979, referring to RII:
JJL 50-400/79-16, 50-401/79-16, 50-402/79-15, and 50-403/79-15, the inspection report for the August 13-15, 1979, Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant visit has been reviewed and found to contain no proprietary informa-tion.
The last paragraph on page 2 of the subject report indicates that the licensee agreed to perform additional testing on the in place fill.
We would like to clarify that we only agreed that additional testing was required to resolve the NRC concern and that the economics of this approach would be compared with the available option of the removal of material.
