NUREG-0737 II.D.l, PERFORMANCE TESTING OF SAFETY AND RELIEF VALVES (TAC NO. 44604) - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NRC letter dated October 20, 1987 requ~sted 10 items of additional information regarding NUREG-0737, II.D.1 - Performance Testing of Safety and Relief Valves.
Consumers Power Company letter dated March 29, 1988 responded to Items 3, 4, 5, and 10.
Consumers Power Company letter dated May 25, 1988 responded to Items 6 - 9, and Consumers Power Company letter dated September 14, 1988 gave a partial response to Item 1 by providing complete descriptions of the new PORVs and Block Valves.
Consumers Power Company letter dated March 30, 1989 responded to Item 2 and stated that the remainder of our response to Item 1, discussion of the similarities/differences between the new Block Valves and those tested by EPRI and verification of the Block Valve operability, would be provided before July 15, 1989.
Due to conditions beyond our control, the Block Valve vendor's tests to verify operability under post~lated plant conditions will not be run until the first week of August 1989.
Therefore, we now plan to report those results and complete our response to Item 1 before August 31, 1989.
At the same time, we will provide additional information on the results of operational tests performed on the new PORV.
