PALISADES - RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 82-33 CONFORMANCE TO REGULATORY GUIDE 1.97 (TAC NO. 51116)
Enclosed is the NRC staff's Safety Evaluation Report (SER) on your subject response.
A copy of the Technical Evaluation Report prepared by the NRC staff's contractor, EG&G Idaho, Inc. is also enclosed.
There are five open items with an NRC staff position given for four of these.
The fifth item, Safety Injection Tank level or pressure, has not been resolved generically and, therefore, remains open until the NRC completes its generic evaluation.
Please, respond to the positions given in the SER for quench tank temperature, quench tank pressure, steam generato~ pressure and component cooling water flow to post OBA equipment within 45 da~s of receipt of this letter.
The request in this letter affects fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under PL 96-511.
