STAFF EVALUATIONRE: CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN FOR RESOLUTION OF CONTROL ROOM EMERGENCY VENTILATIONSYSTEM ISSUES FOR BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. M99711, M99712, M83348, M83349, AND M83350)
Dear Mr.Scaiice:
This letter documents our evaluation of your corrective actions relating to the control room emergency ventilation system (CREVS) at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN) Unit Nos. 1, 2 and 3.
Based on the information provided by the Tennessee Valley Authority relating to the control room habitability corrective action plan, the staff finds that there is reasonable assurance that the BFN control room will provide adequate radiological protection such that control room personnel willnot receive radiation exposures in excess of 5 rem whole body, or its equivalent to any part of the body, from postulated accidents occurring at Units 2 or 3. Our evaluation is attached.
This completes our effort under technical assignment control (TAC) nos. M83348, M83349, and M83350 and the TACs are closed.
