the inspection report for the November 1 through 28, 1980, Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant visit has been reviewed and found to contain no proprietary information.
There exists a conflict in the directions provided to the Carolina Power
& Light Company in the cover page of the report and that provided in Appendix A of the report; namely, the cover letter signed by F. E. Conlon for C. E. Murphy indicates that a response by the Carolina Power
& Light Company to the subject'eport is not required while Appendix A to the report requires a response to be submitted.
As clarified by your, Messrs.

Bryant and G. F. Maxwell to our N. J. Chiangi in separate telephone conver-sations on January 12, 1981, a response by the Carolina Power
& Light Company to the subject report is not required as indicated in the cover letter since corrective actions to prevent recurrence on the violations cited in the subject report were completed prior to the conclusion of the subject inspection.
