Dear Mr. Sanford:
By letter dated May 3, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Package No. ML17132A252), the University of Missouri-Columbia Research Reactor (MURR) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) to produce molybdenum-99 using the General Atomics, Selective Gas Extraction process. By letter dated November 1, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17284A043), the NRC staff submitted a request for additional information (RAI) to support its continued review of the LAR. By letter dated November 29, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17335A034), MURR staff requested a 45-day extension, to January 15, 2018, to complete the RAI responses.
The NRC staff accepts the 45-day extension request.
