In response to NRC Generic Letter (GL) 83-28, "Required Actions Based on Generic Implications of Salem ATWS Events" dated July 8, 1983, Arizona Nuclear Power Project provided responses to Item 2.1 (Part 2) of the Generic Letter in letters dated November 3, 1983 and September 15, 1987.-

We have completed our review of your responses to Item 2.1 (Part 2) and find them to be acceptable.

Our Safety Evaluation on this matter is provided as Enclosure 1.

I By letter dated September 19, 1986, we forwarded. to you our Safety Evaluation regarding GL 83-28, Item 2.1 (Part 1)-.
