Enclosed for your information are"the'FEMA exercise reports for the two full participation exercises conducted at Palo Verde in May 1983 and September

1984, and an analysis of the State of Arizona's schedule of corrective actions as a

result of the initial exercise.

With respect to the offsite emergency plan for Palo Verde, FEMA has informed us that it expects to provide a finding on the adequacy of the State and local emergency plans by March 1, 1985.

We request that you ensure that FEMA Region IX and the Regional Assistance Committee have all planning information and documents necessary to complete the review of the offsite plans by that date.

If you have any questions regarding this letter, you should contact Mr. E. Licitra, the Licensing Project Manager.
