A copy of this evaluation

and supporting data are enclosed for your information.

Items discussed

during the meeting included

a description of NRC's program

for evaluation of licensee

performance,

a summary of the findings and evaluation

of the

NRC regional

review board regarding

compliance with NRC requirements

at Palo

Verde Units Nos.

1,

2 and

3 during the period Hay 1979 through Hay

1980,

and reporting requirements

of 10 CFR 50.55(e).

In accordance

with Section

2.790 of the

NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2,

Title 10,

Code of Federal

Regulations,

a copy of this letter and the enclosed

report will be placed in the

NRC's Public Document

Room.
