Complete The Inservice Inspection Section of the Materials Engineering Branch, Division of Engineering has reviewed Rochester Gas and Elect ic Corporation's submittal dated April 29, 1980, regarding the results of their April 1980 steam generator inspection at R. E. Ginna Unit No. 1.

The licensee concluded that the inspection

results, preventive tube plugging program.

and leakage rate limit support the resumption of plant operation until the next inspection.

Me have concluded that R. E. Ginna Unit Ho.

1 may continue operati'on until their mid-cycle Fall steam generator inspection as proposed by the licensee.

However, we recoiliiend that the inspection program be submitted for our review and comment.

Our safety evaluation is attached.
