'Re: St. Luci e Unit 1 Docket No. 50-335 Proposed License Amendment to Facility Operating License DPR-67 Shutdown Margin, Main Steam Isolation System Changes, and Control Element Assembl Sleevin In accordance with 10 CFR 50.30, Florida Power 8 Light Company submits herewith three signed originals and forty copies of a request to amend Appendix A of Facility Operating License DPR-67.

This amendment is submitted as a result of incorporating TMI-2 related operational and design changes, i .e. tripping all four Reactor Coolant Pumps on SIAS and automatically initiated auxiliary feedwater. A change to the Design Feature section is included as a result of your request as well.

The changes in this request related to shutdown margin modify the amendment

, request we submitted for approval of uprating rated power from 2560 Mwt to 2700 Mwt. (FPL letter L-80-381 dated November 14, 1980).

The proposed amendment is described below and shown on the accompanying Technical Specification pages bearing the date of this letter in the lower right hand corner.

We have determined that this is a Class III Amendment in accordance with 10 CFR 170.22. A check in the amount of $ 4,000 is enclosed.

The proposed amendment has been revi ewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power 5 Light Company Nuclear Review Board.
