A routine radiological controls inspection
was conducted
by Hr.
R.
Loesch
and
Hs.
A. Geyer of this office on January
9-13,
1989, at Nine Mile Point Nuclear
Station,
Units
1 and 2.
The findings of the inspection
were discussed
with
Mr. J. Willis at the conclusion of the inspection
and in a subsequent
phone
conversation
with Hr.
P. Volza on January
31,
1989.
The inspection of Units
1 and
2 covered previous findings,
management
and
supervisory controls,
ALARA, internal
exposure controls
and external
exposure
controls.
In addition,
concerns
associated
with .an allegation
were reviewed.
Within the scope of this inspection,
two violations were identified.
In
accordance
with the Commission's
new policy statement, on
no Notice of Violation will be issued for one violation.
Details
or the remaining violation are provided in the enclosed
Appendix A.

included in
Appendix A.
