G. 1.97 Enclosed is an interim report of our review of the Pacific Gas and Electric submittal of September 9,
1983 on the subject matter.
The review was conducted for the NRC by Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL) under a technical assistance program.
We have concluded that you have provided an explicit commitment for conformance with Regulatory Guide 1.97, Revision 2, with certain exceptions identified in your submittal.
Based on our review we find that your justification for some of the exceptions is not fully adequate as stated in the enclosed report.
We request that you review the report and provide your response to these items within 60 days.
You also should provide any other comments if the enclosed report includes an incorrect assumption or reflects a commitment which you consider to be beyond the intent of your submittal.
