REFERENCE:

Revision to Battery Cell Resistances to Address Potential Non-Conservative Technical Specification License Amendment Request in letter GNR0-2013/00080, dated June 26, 2014 (ADAMS Accession No. ML14177A270).

Dear Sir or Madam:

On June 26, 2014, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Grand Gulf Nuclear Station) submitted the referenced LAR requesting approval of a change to the Technical Specification resistance values for safety-related batteries.

On December 3, 2015, a teleconference was held between staff from the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station and the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation's Department of Operating Reactor Licensing to discuss the methodology for measuring inter-cell resistance values.

After further consideration, Grand Gulf hereby requests withdrawal of the referenced LAR from NRC review.

There are no new commitments in this letter. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Mr. James Nadeau at 601-437-2103.
