LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2-REQUEST TO WITHDRAW DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST TO REVISE THE ULTIMATE HEAT SINK TEMPERATURE LIMITS (TAC NOS.

ME9076 AND ME9077)

Dear Mr. Pacilio:

By application dated July 12, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12200A330), Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2, to revise Technical Specification 3.7.3, "Ultimate Heat Sink [UHS]." EGC provided supplemental information to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the LAR by letter dated October 4, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13282A339). By letter dated February 20, 201L (ADAMS Accession No. ML14066A250), EGC stated that proprietary information was inadvertently provided in the following attachments to the Oc~ct*er 4, 2013, ~etter*

• : UHS Calculation (Design Analysis L-002457, Revision 8)

• : UHS Heat Load Calculation (Design Analysis L-002453, Revision 4)

The February 20, 2014, letter included a request to withdraw Attachments 3 and 5 of the October 4, 2013, letter. The February 20, 2014, letter also included a request to withhold information included in the attachments that will be considered separately.

The February 20, 2014, letter provided proprietary and nonproprietary versions of the UHS Calculation and UHS Heat Load Calculations which were originally provided with the October 4, 2013, letter. The proprietary versions were marked on each page where proprietary information was included. EGC did not identify any changes to these documents other than marking the proprietary information. The NRC staff compared the documents provided on February 20, 2014, with those provided on October 4, 2013, and noted that the identification numbers, revision numbers, and signature dates are the same. Thus, removal of Attachment 3 and 5 of the October 4, 2013, letter from NRC records would not actually remove any information that the NRC staff is considering as part of its LAR review.

The NRC staff has reviewed EGC's request to withdraw Attachments 3 and 5 to the October 4, 2013, letter in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations ( 10 CFR),

Section 2.390(c)(3) and concludes that the request can be granted. Therefore, the requested documents will be removed from NRC records.
