(2) Letter from C. Costanzo (NMPNS) to Document Control Desk (USNRC), Supplement to Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station License Amendment Request for Diesel Generator Initiation - Degraded Voltage Time Delay Setting Change, dated May 16, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13144A068)

Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC (NMPNS) hereby submits a supplement to the Nine Mile Point Unit 1 (NMP1) License Amendment Request for Diesel Generator Initiation -

Degraded Voltage Time Delay Setting Change, Reference (1), to confirm the results of the preliminary study submitted to the NRC staff in Reference (2).

The preliminary degraded voltage study submitted in Reference (2) has been finalized and accepted by NMPNS as a formal calculation. The final study refined the preliminary study results with improved margin obtained. There are no changes to the original Attachment 1 provided in Reference (2).

The final study results did change the conclusions in the original Attachment 2 provided in Reference (2). The Inputs and Assumptions provided in the original Attachment 2 remained valid and are included in the results of the calculation. The final conclusion determined the 550 volt and 575 volt equipment are above the degraded voltage threshold values defined in the original Attachment 2. The equipment listed in the original Tables 4 and 5 have been removed as there are no exceptions.

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission July 8, 2014 Page 2 Table 6 has been updated and is provided below. This Table 6 replaces the Table 6 previously submitted with Reference (2).
