NRC STAFF MONTHLY STATUS REPORT In accordance with the Atomic Safety and Licensing Boards Initial Scheduling Order, dated August 26, 2013, the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Staff) is filing this monthly status report on the best estimate of the dates when it expects to issue the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS), Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS), Safety Evaluation Report (SER) with open items, and the final SER.

The Staff now expects to publish the DSEIS in July 2014 and the FSEIS in March 2015. The Staff no longer expects to publish the SER with open items in March 2014 and the final SER in October 2014. The publication dates for the SER with open items and the final SER have not been determined and will depend on the Tennessee Valley Authoritys (TVA) response to Staff requests for additional information. The Staff updated the Sequoyah license renewal application schedule on the NRC website to reflect this information and provided this revised schedule to the TVA in a letter dated February 20, 2014 from John Lubinski, Director of the Division of License Renewal, NRC, to John Carlin, Site Vice President for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, TVA, which can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System via Accession Number ML14007A470.
