Subject:

close Indian Point Living within 10 miles of the plant, I regularly get evacuation notices in case of an emergency.

But it is bogus. There is no evacuation. There is no place to go. There is no escape. The roads will be grid locked, public officers will be returning to their families. In a catastrophe the amount of damage in this highly populated area surrounding NYC will be astronomical. What could possibly be worth the risk?

Regularly, radioactive material is released into the air. Where does it go? Does it land on our soil?

The soil in which our local produce is grown? Why does Rockland County have such a high degree of breast cancer? Last year I was operated on for breast cancer. There is no one in my family heritage that has had it. Why did I get it? Could it be from the above conditions?

I can understand why the workers at the plant want to keep the facility open. It is their job, their livelihood, what will they do? I sympathize. But this is NOT the place for a nuclear plant.
