License Amendment Requests 259 and 245, One-Time Technical Specification (TS) Changes Applicable to TS 3.8.1, "AC Sources - Operating"

Dear Sir orMadam:

In the referenced letter, Southern California Edison (SCE) requested license amendments for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) Units 2 and 3. The proposed amendments requested that the Completion Time of Condition A of Technical Specification 3.8.1, "AC Sources - Operating," be revised on a one-time basis to allow a Completion Time of 10 days.

SCE hereby withdraws the proposed amendment request.

Based on discussion between SCE and NRC staff on this subject, SCE plans to remove the Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) based discussions and resubmit the license amendment request.
