ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW OF BOILING WATER REACTORS OWNERS=
GROUP (BWROG) TOPICAL REPORT (TR) NEDC-33347P, REVISION 0, CONTAINMENT OVERPRESSURE CREDIT FOR NET POSITIVE SUCTION HEAD" (TAC NO. MD8146)
Dear Mr. Bunt:
By letter dated February 15, 2008, the BWROG submitted for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review TR NEDC-33347P, Revision 0, Containment Overpressure Credit For Net Positive Suction Head." The NRC staff has performed an acceptance review of the NEDC-33347P. We have found that the material presented is sufficient to begin our comprehensive review. The NRC staff expects to issue its request for additional information by November 7, 2008, and issue its draft safety evaluation by June 12, 2009. The NRC staff estimates that the review will require approximately 450 staff hours including project management time. The review schedule milestones and estimated review costs were discussed and agreed upon in a telephone conference between Frederick Emerson, Project Manager, and the NRC staff on April 22, 2008.
In accordance with the letter dated December 4, 2007 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML073410162), the fee branch has waived the Section 170.21 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations fees associated with this TR review.
