Dear Mr. Schiffley:
By letter dated February 15, 2008 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML080520268), the BWROG submitted topical report (TR)
NEDC-33347, Revision 0, "Containment Overpressure Credit for Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH)" to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff.
By letter dated September 29, 2009, an NRC draft safety evaluation (SE) regarding our approval of TR NEDC-33347, Revision 0, was provided for your review and comment. By letter dated October 27, 2009, the BWROG commented on the draft SE. The NRC staff's disposition of the BWROGs comments on the draft SE are discussed in the attachment to the revised draft SE enclosed with this letter. A final SE will be issued after the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards review.
