This acknowledges receipt of your letter dated July 11, 2005 (ADAMS Accession No. ML051920406), which withdrew a license amendment request dated November 29, 2004, regarding Technical Specifications changes for the Control Room Envelope Integrity Program at the Exelon/AmerGen operating facilities. The letter stated that your November 2004 submittal did not disposition industry-generic issues that are the subject of ongoing discussions between the NRC, the Nuclear Energy Institute Control Room Habitability Task Force, and the industry Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) working on TSTF traveler-448 (TSTF-448).
In addition, the letter stated that Exelon/AmerGen will evaluate the submittal with respect to the elements contained in TSTF-448 and will resubmit a proposed license amendment request within 90 days following NRC approval of the TSTF.
The NRC staff appreciates Exelon/AmerGen's cooperation in addressing this issue, and your commitment to resubmit a proposed license amendment within 90 days following NRC approval of the TSTF.
