MC2943 AND MC2944)

In a September 10, 2004 letter, the NRC requested written confirmation that security provisions related to Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations (ISFSls) implemented in response to the interim compensatory measures (ICMs) in NRC Order EA 02-104 remained unchanged.

Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion) responded to NRC Order EA 02-104 for the North Anna and Surry Power Stations in letters dated November 1, 2002 (Serial Nos.02-646 and 02-647). Subsequently, Dominion notified the NRC that the stations were in compliance with the Order in letters dated April 23, 2003 (Serial Nos. 02-646B and 02-647B). The ISFSI related security provisions, implemented in response to NRC Order 02-104, have not been revised or modified and remain unchanged.

With the exception of editorial changes, the security related provisions for the North Anna and Surry ISFSIs that were submitted in the April 26, 2004 Security Plan submittal (Serial No.04-242, Attachment A, Appendix D) remain the same as the requirements in the Security Plan that was in effect prior to April 26, 2004.
