lOTE TO EVALUATOR: The following steps are from Attachment 1 of

1 -SI-Q-21

IOTE 1 Determining detector currents by measuring the voltage

across the detectors meter test points, using DVM, is the

most accurate method for measiring QPTR and for

determining the validity of a QPTR alarm.

Using detector current meter readings is another method to

quickly check that QPTR Is within limits. These meters are

not as accurate as the DVM readings and may produce

unacceptable results because: $)the meters on the 6

NOTE TO EVALUATOR: Applies to following steps; Steam flow

indications are initially off-scale !OW, and will come on-

scale after the #3 RCP is stopped. Flow indications may

fluctuate on and off scale.

STEP 11:

[Step 71

MAINTAIN affected SG level on PROGRAM:

LOWER MFW flow as steam flow drops.

STANDARD: The feedwater flow to #3 S/G is reduced to prevent #3 SIG

level from rising by manualiy closing the MFW bypass reg.

Valve with 1-LIC-3-90A. This step is critical to prevent

SIG overfill as steam flow lowers from SIG #.

COMMENTS:

STEP 12:

[Step 81

ISOLATE blowdown from affected SG

STANDARD: #3 SIG blowdown is isolated by piacing I-HS-1-25/183 in

close. This step is critical to prevent SIG low level.
