Dear Sir; Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) is withdrawing the requests for approval previously submitted in References 1 and 2.
Reference 1 was an inservice inspection program relief request regarding the visual examination of bolted connections in systems containing borated water. Entergy now plans to perform inspections during the Fall 2004 refueling outage without the use of the subject relief request.
Reference 2 was a request for NRC review of WCAP-14936, which describes a best estimate analysis methodology applicable to small break loss of coolant accidents. Entergy was proposing to apply the new methodology in a license amendment request for a power uprate.
Entergy has determined that the best estimate methodology is no longer needed to support the power uprate project.
