RE: School Levy Amounts

Dear Mr. Havens,

We are completing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regarding the re-licensing of the Ginna Nuclear Plant. During a public meeting held InAugust, you spoke on behalf of the school district office and pointed out that the draft EIS report only included the total revenues of the Wayne Central School District and did not include school levy amounts (which would demonstrate the high percentage of total tax paid by RG&E as a percentage of the total school levy each year). I would like to include these numbers in the final draft; however, I have not been able to acquire them yet. I have tried to contact Gregory Atseff about this information by phone and e-mail (see below), but I have not had any luck. Mr Atseffs secretary, Diane, was able to provide me with the several of the numbers I had hoped to obtain from your office; however, there are a couple of additional numbers that would be helpful to have. These include:

- Total School Revenues (rather than levy amounts) for 2000 and 2001 (we currently have total school revenues for 1995-1999 listed inmillions as $23.9, S23.6, $25.0, $27.2, and $28.9, respectively, we are looking corresponding numbers for years 2000 and 2001).

-If available, the Total levy amounts for the years 1995 through 1998 (Diane provided me with levy amounts for school years 99-00 through school year 2003-2004)

Any information you can provide would be helpful. We will be finalizing this document early next week.

Thank you. -Katie KKTE ALLEN CORT Economist Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory P.O. Box 999 Richland, WA 99352 509.372.4374 (phone) 509.372.4370 (fax)

RE: School Levy Amounts

Dear Mr. Atseff,

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission would like to finalize the Environmental Impact Statement for the re-licensing of the Ginna Nuclear Power plant In the next couple of weeks. As I mentioned In my previous e mail to your office, we would like to respond to comments that were made at a recent public meeting where Itwas noted that the total school levy amount was not listed in Table 2-11 of the report, while the property tax of Wayne County and the Town of Ontario were listed. Earlier today I spoke your assistant, Diane, on the phone and she was able to provide me with the several of the numbers I had hoped to obtain from your office; however, there are a couple of additional numbers that would be helpful to have. These include:

Dear Mr. Atseff,

Could you please provide me with the total school levy for Wayne Central School District from 1995 (if possible) through 2001? I would appreciate any Information you could provide me either by fax, e-mail, or phone. Please let me know if you need any additional Information. Thanks. -Katie KATIE ALLEN CORT Economist
