The enclosed report is submitted pursuant to the requirements of paragraph IWA-6240 of the 1995 Edition (including the 1996 addenda) of Section XI of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. INTRODUCTION Inservice Inspection examinations of ASME Class 1 and 2 piping welds and components were conducted at Seabrook Station in accordance with Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, 1995 Edition through 1996 Addenda and the ISI Program Plan. This report summarizes ISI examinations completed prior to and during the eighth refueling outage that concluded on June 1, 2002. The eighth refueling outage is the second outage in the First Period of the Second Ten-Year ISI Interval.

Denotes welds which had limited volumetric examination coverage. Request for relief shall be submitted in accordance with 10CFR50.55a(g)(5)(iv).

Abstract of Results of Examinations and Tests ASME Class 1 Welds and Components For Class 1 welds listed in Section 2.0 of this report, ultrasonic examination recorded an indication above the threshold on one weld. This indication was evaluated as an acceptable slag inclusion based on previous data and radiographic film. Volumetric, surface, and visual examinations on remaining welds and components listed in Section 2.0 noted no unacceptable conditions.

ASME Class 2 Welds For Class 2 welds listed in Section 2.0 of this report, ultrasonic examinations recorded an indication above the threshold on one weld. This indication was acceptable and verified to be weld geometry. Surface examination recorded a linear indication on one weld, which was corrected by surface conditioning and successful re-examination. Remaining Class 2 weld examinations noted no unacceptable conditions.

NF Supports Several component supports were identified as having minor discrepancies. Evaluations were performed, the supports were determined to be operable, and they met the acceptance criteria specified in IWF-3410.

Pressure Tests One (1) Class 1 and seven (7) Class 2 pressure tests were performed with no unacceptable conditions noted during visual examination.

Abstract of Corrective Measures No corrective actions were required as ISI examinations conducted during OR08 met the acceptance criteria of ASME Section XI, IWX-3000.
