In Reference 1, NSPM submitted an LAR for the Priairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant (PINGP), Units 1 and 2, to revise Technical Specific;ation (TS) 3.8.1, "AC Sources -

Operating," SR 3.8.1.8 Frequency to allow use of the SR 3.0.2 interval extension.

NSPM submits this supplement in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.90.

By this letter, the Significar~tHazards Consideration in the Enclosure to Reference 1 is corrected to state, on page 12:

Northern States Povver Company, a Minnesota corporation, has evaluated whether or not a significant hazards consideration is involved with the proposed amendment by focusing on the three standards set forth in 10 CFR 50.92, "Issuance of amendment. as discussed below:

and, on page 14:

Based o,n the above, Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, concludes that the proposed amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration under the standards set forth i~n10 CFR 50.92(c) and, accordingly, a finding of "no significant hazards consideration" is justified.

Document Control Desk Page 2 The supplemental information provided in this letter does not impact the conclusions of the Determination of No Significant Hazards Considleration and Environmental Assessment presented in the March 5, 2009 submittal.
