dated April 15, 2019 (M1191058198) ln the referenced letter, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) informed Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) of its plans for a future inspection of the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant WBN) Units 1 and 2, in accordance with lnspection Procedure 95001, "Supplemental lnspection for One or Two White lnputs in a Strategic Performance Area." As noted in the referenced letter, the purpose of this supplemental inspection is to provide assurance that the root and contributing causes for the performance issues are understood; to provide assurance that the extent of condition and extent of cause of the performance issues are understood; and to provide assurance that the corrective actions are sufficient to address the root and contributing causes and preclude repetition.

As requested in the attached letter, TVA is hereby notifying the NRC of WBN's readiness for the subject inspection. WBN has completed a root cause analysis pertaining to the white finding regarding the calculation errors affecting emergency preparedness. Based on discussions with NRC staff, TVA requests the NRC commence the inspection on July 29,2019.
