Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1 Docket No. 50-440, License No. NPF-58 Readiness for NRC Supplemental Inspection Required for the Security-Related Greater than Green Finding In letter EA-12-074 dated June 25, 2012 (reference NRC Inspection Report'No.

05000440/2012406 (DRS)), the NRC finalized the significance of a security-related Greater than Green finding and stated that a supplemental NRC inspection is required based o0nthe security significance. Thi's letter is to inform the NRC staff that FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) is ready for the supplemental inspection atthe"Per'ry Nuclear Power Plant.

The security-related issue was entered into the site Corrective Action Program. The issue was investigated by a multi-discipline team, using techniques required by its Significant Root Cause classification. The investigation included an extent of condition and extent of cause review, along with an evaluation as to whether safety culture-components were significant contributors. Corrective actions were developed to address the root and contributing causes and to prevent recurrence of the issue. The corrective actions completed and the remaining planned actions fully address the issue.
