Perry Nuclear Power Plant Unit No. 1 Part 50 Docket No. 50-440, License No. NPF-58 Part 72 Docket No. 72-69 Follow Up For Perry Nuclear Power Plant Order EA-09-073 Iný alefter dated April7,"2009, the Nuclear ReliilatoryCommission,(NRC)issued Order EA-'09O073, Which modifies the FirstEnergy Nucear, Operating Company (FENOC) general license for the proposed independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI) for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant (PNPP). The modification to the general license requires additional security measures (ASMs) for the physical protection of the proposed PNPP ISFSI.

In an-April 24, 2009 letter, FENOC committed to report to the NRC when full.

compliance has been achieved with all of the ASMs set forth in Attachment 1, Part D of Order EA-09-073. Implementation of the ASMs was to be completed within 90 days prior to the initial PNPP spent fuel cask load.

FENOC has addressed-all of the ASMs,-including approving the respective Security and Emergency Plan changes associated with the ASMs as committed to in the April 24, 2009 letter. Training to address the associated Emergency Plan change and specifically the new Emergency Action Level for the- Perry ISFSI is:scheduled to be completed in-August'2010..-
