Perry Nuclear Power Plant Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-440, License No. NPF-58 Response to Order EA-09-073 In a letter dated April 7,2009, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Order EA-09-073, which Modifies the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) general license forthe proposed Independent Spenit"Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) for the Perry Nuclear Power:Plant (PNPP). The modification to the general license requires additional security measures for the physical protection of the proposed PNPP ISFSI. provides the required 20-day response to Order EA-09-073, in which FENOC consents to the order but requests a relaxation of the 180-day implementation period:.Since it contains security related information, please withhold Attachment 1 from disclosure, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390(a)(1)(i).
