Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Deviation (456/79-06-01; 457/79-06-01): Failure to use proper penetrameter for radiography of containment liner plate. The wording of the commitment in the PSAR did not specifically exclude the use of Article 3 of Section V of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. This deviation is being withdrawn. This item is closed and no response is required.
Functional or Program Areas Inspected Details of functional or program areas inspected are documented as follows.
Site Tour An extensive tour of the site was conducted and the following items were evaluated:
1.
General housekeeping of the plant 2.
Storage of tendons which have recently arrived at the site. Initial installation of these tendons is scheduled to start on July 15, 1979.
3.
Cleaning and re-application of preservative to the post-tensioning trumplets located on top of Unit 2 containment building.

Activities in progress in the teadon access galleries of Units 1 and

2 with regard to the installation of fans in the access shafts to help circulate air and reduce condensation in the tendon access galleries.
5.
Review of activities in all levels of the auxiliary building.
6.
Storage requirements with regard to keeping heaters in high voltage motors energized during storage.
No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

Exit Meeting The inspector met with the site staff representatives (denoted in the Persons Contacted paragraph) at the conclusion of the inspection on June 21, 1979. The inspector summarized the scope and findings of the inspection.
