This special inspection entailed 38 inspector-hours on site reviewing the circumstances surrounding a security event which led to the discovery of an unauthorized seapon and ammunition within the protected area.
Areas inspected included:
Access Control -
Personnel / Vehicles; Security Organization; Physical-Barriers - Protected Area; Assessment Aids; Detection Aids - Protected Area; and Communications.

Results:
The following violations of regulatory requirements were identified:
A.
Failure to control vehicle access into the Protected Area during a security drill.
B.
Failure to control personnel access into the Protected Area during a security drill.
C.
Failure to maintain in effect provisions of the approved Physical Security and Training and Qualification Plans concerning the conduct of security drills.
