Dear Mr. Plunkett:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Hr. G.
Madden of your staff and Hr. S.
Ninh of the NRC on July 3, 1997, concerning a Predecisional Enforcement Conference which is scheduled f'r July 24, 1997, at 10:00 a.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss apparent violations regarding deficiencies in the construction of the St. Lucie Unit 2 emergency core cooling system sump screens identified in NRC Inspection Report 50-335.

The location of the meeting will be at the NRC Region II office. in the Hain Conference Room at 61 Forsyth Street, N.W., Suite 24T20, Atlanta, Georgia.
