located in Barberton, Ohio, relative to construction activities.at the Midland site authorized by AEC Construction Permits No. CPPR-81 i

and No. CPPR-82 and to the discussion of.our findings at the

conclusion of the inspection with Mr. A. J. Eirkle of your staff.

j The area examined during the inspection is identified in the enclosed i
inspection report. Within this area, the inspection consisted _of an i
examination of the procedures and techniques used during the audit, l'
observations by the inspector, and an interview with Mr. Birkle at
!
the conclusion,2f the inspection.

No violations of AEC requirements were identified within the area l-examined during this inspection.
. By way of this letter, we.wish to establish our understanding with regard to certain steps you plan to take, as follows:

Conduct s' follow-up audit to assure yourselves that documentation

is obtained for certain internals material that establishes that proper grain size was determined and that the material was properly

heat treated.
