REPORT NOS. 50-325/92-28 and 50-324/92-28 Thank you for your response of November 25, 1992, to our Notice of Violation, issued on October 26, 1992, concerning activities conducted at your Brunswick facility.
We have evaluated your response and found that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.
We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.
With regard to your request to reduce the Severity Level of Violation 50-325, 324/92-28-03, we still consider the failure to comply with document control =
processes to be a problem of more than minor safety significance. -'This is -
based on the fact that the document control system is an important administrative control established'to ensure that' documents are reviewed for.
adequacy and approved for release by authorized personnel.
Providing preliminary d-awing revisions (i.e., drawings that have not been processed through the document control system) represents a weakness that could inadvertently contribute to an unapproved or inadequate drawing being used as the basis for a safety-related activity.
Consequently, the Severity Level of this violation has been unchanged.
