Subject: Certification of Defueling Operators This letter provides acceptance of your certifications, dated December 3,1985, of presently licensed Senior Reactor Operators (SRO) to directly supervise fuel handling operations. The NRC staff has reviewed your requalification program as part of an inspection which will be documented in Inspection Report 50-320/
85-13, and has concluded that successful completion of the requalification program provides an adequate basis for accepting your certification.
As of the date of certification the licensed operators certified in your letters to Mr. R. Starostecki dated Decemoer 3, 1985, may directly supervise fuel handling operations.
No response to this letter is required.
