Dear Mr. Fitzpatrick:
This willacknowledge receipt of your letters dated February 23, 1998, in response to our letters dated January 13, 1998, and January 23, 1998, which transmitted a Notice of Violation associated with Inspection Report No. 50-315/97018(DRP); 50-316/97018(DRP); and a Notice of Violation associated with Inspection Report No. 50-315/97024(DRP); 50-316/97024(DRP),
respectively.
We have reviewed your corrective actions and have no further questions at this time. These corrective actions will be examined during future inspections.
We noted that both of your letters referenced corrective actions initiated in response to NRC inspections.
We recognize that the corrective actions resulting from these inspections are part of a continuing effort to improve facilityperformance.
However, we are concerned that procedural problems, particularly with operations procedures, continue to be identified by NRC inspectors.
We willcontinue to monitor your effort to improve operations procedures.
Our findings willbe documented in future inspection reports.
