NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-315/316-97002 (DRP) AND 50-315/316/97003 (DRS) AND NOTICE OF VIOLATION REQUEST FOR ADDITIONALINFORMATiON
Dear Mr. Fitzpatrick:
This willacknowledge receipt of your letter dated September 26, 1997, in response to our letter dated July 1, which requested additional information concerning the corrective actions in response to Notices of Violation issued with Inspection Reports 50-315/316/97002 (DRP) and 50-315/316-97003 (DRS). Our letter requested additional information to clarify portions of your planned corrective actions which appeared narrowly focused or vague.
We have reviewed the additional information which you have provided along with your original responses to Inspection Reports 50-315/316-97002 and 50-315/316-97003 and have no further questions at this time. Members of your plant staff have also discussed a number of procedure adherence and procedure quality initiatives which have been implemented beyond what was discussed in your letters.
The results of later inspections have shown that these corrective actions and additional initiatives appear adequate to prevent recurrence of procedural adherence and adequacy problems.
However, we willcontinue to assess the effectiveness of your procedure adherence and quality initiatives during future inspections.
